Why can’t I use PayPal to pay, even if I have funds on my account?

Are you having problems creating a subcription even if your credit card has more than enough funds?

Fear not: this is an issue with an easy solution: PayPal doesn't allow recurring payments unless you have credit cards or bank accounts linked to it, and they need to have enough funds as well.

That's why transactions don’t always go as intended: even if you have thousands of dollars in your PayPal account, in case you don't have a credit card linked to it, then you will not be able to pay for a subscription.

So let's see whether or not is any of your credit cards linked to recurring payments and what you can do in case you don't have any.

Enter your PayPal account and browse the "settings" section.




Now click on "Payments":



In this page, click on "Preapproved Payments":



You will see a new page opening, including all those pre-approved payments and recurring payments that are active on your account. In this page select "Set Available Funding Sources":



From this page, you can check the credit card and bank accounts that are set as source for these payments. PayPal will always get funds from your account first, but if you wish to create a recurring payment you need to have at least one credit card linked to it and it needs to have enough funds in it, so let's check that out:


Important: Sometimes the problem is that your credit card linked to your PayPal account and flagged as your first fund source is expired or out of funds. Please disable all the cards and accounts with no funds as sources and leave out the active ones. Attempt the payment once again after this.

If you don't have an account or card linked to it, you can link one by going to "Wallet":



From this page you can choose whether you want to link a card or a bank account. In the first case a new page will open and it will allow you to enter your personal credit card data:


While to link a Bank account, you need your IBAN code:


Important: Adding a system such as a PayPal payment source may take a few days. To verify you are the actual owner of a specific credit card or bank account, PayPal will create a new transaction on your account balance with a given ID code you will need to enter in your profile to confirm you are the owner of that card.



Now repeat the initial process to make sure the card or bank account has been accepted as your funds source.

How do I renew my license?

Your license renewal can be done in two different ways, depending on the products you purchased. About the products that don’t include a subscription, the renewal can be easily done by your My Account page (https://yithemes.com/my-account/my-licenses/). By clicking on “My License Subscriptions” you will get the list of products you purchased. For each product without a subscription, you will find the “Renew” button. Click on it and follow the procedure.

On the contrary, about those products that include a subscription, except for the yearly Club subscription, the renewal will occur in an automatic way. The only thing we can recommend you to do, is to verify that your credit card has available funds before the due date or that it is not expired. If it was, we invite you to update your credit card data or to add a new one directly from My Account page in Saved Cards (https://yithemes.com/my-account/saved-cards/).


Why is support slow? What can I do to have a better support experience?

Slow support answers might depend on temporary overloading of requests, which will be solved in short time. Yet, it might also depend on a wrong use of the support platform: after opening or answering a ticket, we hearty suggest you DO NOT update it. In fact, any time you leave a new message in waiting ticket, it is updated, it is added to the end of the support queue and loses priority. This means the more you update it, the longer time you'll have to wait. Unfortunately it does not depend on us, but on the tool we use to provide support.

I cannot find the license key for activating the theme I have bought some time ago. Where can I find it?

If you have purchased one of our products before 27 January 2015, you can benefit from support and updates (the services offered with the license) until 27 January 2016 and you do not have to purchase it again to get a new license key, because, before this date, your license used to be activated automatically by our system.
After 27 January 2016, instead, if you want to benefit from support and updates you have to buy a new license and activate it through the license key you will be provided with and that you can find in your YIThemes account, in section "My licenses".

I purchased a product before licensing was introduced: do I have to purchase it anew to be able to access services offered by the license (support and updates)?

If you have purchased one of our products before 27 January 2015, you can benefit from support and updates (the services offered with the license) until 27 January 2016 and you do not have to purchase it again to get a new license key.
In the latest versions of our products we have added also a section named "License Activation": if you have purchased the product before 27 January 2015, you do not have to activate any licenses because, before this date, your license used to be activated automatically in our system.
After 27 January 2016, instead, if you want to benefit from support and updates you have to buy a new license and activate it through the license key you will be provided with.

Can I buy a “lifetime” license?

No, there is no special lifetime formula available at the moment.

My license has expired. Can I continue to use the theme?

Sure, you can continue to use the theme but without updates and support from our team. A valid and active license key is required in order to get updates and support for purchased extensions and themes.

My license has expired. Do I have to pay again the full price?

Yes, you have.

If I buy a single site license can I use the theme on more than one site?

With a single site license you can get updates and free support only for one installation.

I got an error with PayPal. How can I resolve the issue?

"We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.
For some browsers, this problem can be resolved by clearing or deleting cookies.

Can I download dummy content for my theme?

Yes, we have a dummy content file ready for you to make your WordPress like our demo with just one click. Download it from our our Support Forum. To have access to the forum, use the credentials you used to purchase the theme.

Can I change the language of the theme?

All of our themes are localized using GNU’s ‘gettext’ functionality. This means that each of our themes includes one .po file which contains all the English terms we have used, allowing our users to edit just one file to translate our themes to any language of the world.

Do all the themes work with the latest version of WordPress?

Yes, it is our duty to always keep the themes up-to-date and working with the latest version of WordPress. Our themes are developed and fine-tuned for WordPress 3.0 or higher, any version prior to that may have problems with some theme functionalities.

Will the themes work with my plugins?

Yes, the majority of the plugins should work with our themes, HOWEVER we can’t guarantee they will do so. Some plugins make use of JavaScript libraries, which may conflict with the libraries of the themes; this could prevent our theme to work properly. There are thousands of plugins available and unfortunately we can’t test all of them with our themes.

What’s your technical support like?

Once you have activated your license, you will be able to access our support platform for the entire duration of the license. You will find many multimedial tutorials and step-by-step guides in it, that we constantly keep updated so that we can help you manage your theme and troubleshoot various technical issues.

Use the credentials you used to purchase the theme to login: describe your tech issues and our team will respond within 2 working days.

Do I need to keep the Your Inspiration logo in the footer?

No! You can remove any credit link in the footer.

Can I remove your credit in the footer?

Yes you are free to modify the footer and remove our credit line. But we suggest you become an affiliate member and place your affiliate link there. Every purchase referred by that link will earn you the whopping 30% of commissions.

Can I use your themes on commercial projects?

Absolutely! You are more than welcome to use the themes that are available on our site to develop commercial and client projects.

Which browsers, browser versions and operating systems do you test the themes on?

We test all our themes on Internet Explorer 9,10 and 11, the latest versions of Firefox, Safari and Chrome. About operating systems, our themes work independently regardless the operating system you use as long as WordPress is installed correctly. We do not support Internet Explorer 6. If you use Internet Explorer 6 - 7 - 8, please consider upgrading to the latest Internet Explorer to have the best experience with our themes.
