Manage online auctions to sell your products: the business model to which users just can’t resist.
Do you know what an online auction is?
I bet you do, and you probably have already considered selling products on eBay, the number one network in this field that built an empire on this kind of sales and got millions of people used to buying online through their bids, taking part in a sort of race to purchase.
Users who are interested in auctions are moved by the chance to get items at low prices and motivated to place a bid which in most cases turns into an immediate price rise as soon as they are outbid.
Auctions are simple: anybody can place a bid for a specific product and if no other bid exceeds the previous one, then they win the item. This allows buyers to grab products for their best price and allows vendors to generate a profit sometimes bigger than anticipated.
Using our YITH WooCommerce Auction plugin, you will not only be able to make auctions for your products but thanks to the integration of our YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor you will have the chance to create a real portal for online auctions, allowing all of your vendors to create auctions of their own and letting you earn a share on each one of their sales.
Set a start price, a reserve price and a "buy now" price
For each auction, you can define a start price, a reserve price (the minimum price you are willing to accept for the product), and a selling price to allow users to purchase the product immediately, without taking part in the auction.
Choose to set the auction with manual or automatic bids.
For every auction, you can decide if users must place their bids manually or if they can enter the maximum amount they're willing to pay in order to let the system raise bids automatically until reaching the limit they set.
Create a standard auction or a reverse auction where the winner is the user who made the lowest bid
In a classic auction, the highest bid is the one winning the auction, whereas, in the reverse auction, the lowest one wins.
Set secret auctions to hide bids
You can set an auction as "secret" to hide the bids made so far from other users.
Set a "fee" to sign-up and take part in the auction
For each auction, you can set a fee that users have to pay before placing their bid. To pay the fee, they will be redirected directly to the checkout.
Choose from 4 different countdown layouts (or show the auction duration only)
The plugin offers 4 modern and captivating countdowns to show users when the auction ends. You can choose the style that fits your theme better, customize colors, or disable the counter to show only the end date of the auction.
Choose whether to enable the "Watchlist" to let users keep track of the auction they are interested in or not
Let your users choose from signing-up to the auction and receive email notifications or adding the auction to a "watchlist" they can track through the related widget or on their account.
Decide how to manage auctions not paid for or those that haven't reached the reserve price
If the winner of the auction doesn't pay the product, choose whether to send the notification to the second-highest bidder or reschedule the auction and publish it again automatically.
Request users to register or log in and set a valid credit card to be able to bid
By integrating our YITH Stripe, you can improve your auction site safety by requesting users to insert a valid credit card in order to make a bid.
Ask users for confirmation before publishing their bid
Reduce the number of bids made only out of curiosity or without real interest by requesting users a confirmation before publishing their bids and informing them of the obligations if they win the auctions.
Use widgets, shortcodes, and Gutenberg blocks to show your auctions where you want
Thanks to the shortcodes, you can create custom pages to show active and scheduled auctions or only those belonging to specific categories. Use the widgets in sidebars or any widget area of your theme. If you use Gutenberg, you can benefit from the related blocks to show your auctions on any page.
Keep your users up-to-date with a wide range of notifications
Send notification emails to users who keep track of the auction and to all bidders when there is a new bid, when the auction is about to end, when someone outbids them(encouraging them to place another bid) and when the auction has ended.

The YITH Easy Login & Register Popup plugin makes the login, registration and password reset processes easier during the checkout and reduces the cart abandonment rate. The combination of the two plugins allows you to force the user to login before placing a bid, using a popup. This way the user can login or register directly without leaving the page.
YITH Frontend Manager for WooCommerce
YITH Frontend Manager for WooCommerce adds a frontend dashboard to your site through which the administrator and shop managers can manage orders, products, and coupons as they would do from WordPress dashboard. Thanks to the integration with YITH Auctions for WooCommerce, you will be able to manage auction products from the frontend.

YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor
YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor allows you to turn your store into a multistore where vendors manage their own product and earn a commission on every sale. The combined use of YITH Multi Vendor and YITH Auctions allows you to offer an auction system to all the vendors in your store. Vendors can create their own auction type product, and will be able to handle:
required amount for a rise
a chance to automatically schedule the next auction for each product
YITH WooCommerce Stripe
YITH WooCommerce Stripe enables your store to accept credit card payments.
If used with YITH Auctions for WooCommerce, it allows preventing users from bidding if they don't have a valid credit card linked to their account. A message to inform users of this requirement will show on the auction product page.

How can I show out-of-stock auction products on my site pages?
You can use the shortcode [yith_wcact_out_of_stock].
Is the plugin compatible with any currency plugin?
Yes, it’s compatible with WPML Currency Switcher.
Is there a way to increase the amount of time left for bidding after someone’s bid?
The plugin has an option to postpone the expiration if someone makes a new bid some minutes before the auction ends. You can find the option here.
Does it work with both simple and variable products?
No, an auction product is an 'Auction product' type, just like a 'Simple product' and a 'Variable product' are product types. It is therefore not possible to create a simple/variable auction product, as these are all different product types.
Can I remove the countdown timer and have no end time or end date for the auction?
Yes, you can show or hide the countdown option as explained here, and show or hide the end date. Check this page for the settings.
Can an admin generate an order (invoice) after the auction ends, or must it be done by the bidder?
Yes, the admin can generate an order after the auction ends.
Does the plugin use auto reload for the page or is it using AJAX?
The plugin uses AJAX and you can set up a time interval to trigger the automatic refresh of the page, check out the settings here.
Can I show an icon on auction products?
Yes, the plugin has the option to customize the icon/badge shown on the auction product, check out this page for more information.
Can a single bidder win multiple auctions and pay for all of them in a single transaction?
Yes, the plugin gives users the possibility to win multiple auctions and pay them with a single transaction.
Is there a way to put a minimum to the bid increase, so that clients don't start overbidding each other one cent at a time?
Yes, it is possible to set a 'minimal increment amount' for manual bids from the product editing page.
Where can I see the bidding history of all products?
The bidding history is shown only in the related tab on the product detail page when the auction is in progress.
Once a buyer wins there is a pay button which will appear on the item page, can the customer also pay in any other way?
Yes, the plugin allows paying by:
- clicking on the 'pay now' button on the product page
- an email that is sent to the auction winner
- entering the My account
For all other settings of auction winners, check this page here.
Can the plugin only allow the bidder to use the account funds for bidding?
Yes, as the bids are placed without the use of any payment method. The winner of the auction however, can choose to pay the product by using the funds.
Can I add the auction time widget on the shop page?
Yes, the plugin has a widget to show the latest auctions, each of them with a countdown. Note: you can add the widget to the shop page only if the theme you are using allows showing the widget in a specific sidebar only on the shop page.

Can we make something like eBay, where users can submit products and for selling them they get a percentage?
Does the plugin run a log of bids visible to everyone and does it show the exact time the bid went through?
Yes, it does. All bids will be shown for each auction. They will include the time and the users’ names. As a matter of privacy, the administrator could protect users' names by asterisking them, e.g. Anthony will turn into A*****y.
Is there a reserve option so that if bids don't reach the seller's minimum sell price, it doesn't sell?
Yes, this is certainly possible, as you can see in this page of the plugin’s guide.
Does the plugin have overtime capabilities?
