YITH Point of Sale works natively with WooCommerce and connects to your shop through the WooCommerce REST API. YITH WooCommerce Barcodes and QR Codes
YITH WooCommerce Barcodes and QR Codes allows users to create barcodes and QR codes for all kind of products (both simple and variable ones) and shop orders. The code can be assigned manually or automatically every time a product or an order is created. Thanks to dedicated shortcodes, it’s also possible to apply specific actions to products and orders right after scanning their barcode.
The integration with YITH Point Of Sale for WooCommerce allows you to automatically generate barcodes for your products, in the product details page.

Can I add products per store (inventory for each store) e.g. Product X, store A has 10 items, but store B has only 3?
With the Multi-Stock feature you can set different stock quantities for each Store. So for example, for a T-shirt product you could have 10 items in Store A, 50 items in Store B, and so on…
What is the difference between Shop managers and POS managers?
The Shop Manager cannot manage POS settings, but he can manage posts, pages, products and orders (WooCommerce provides a Shop Manager role with these capabilities).
In YITH POS you can create “POS Managers”: in addition to the WooCommerce Shop Manager capabilities, they can also manage settings for their store, but they cannot manage the settings of other stores.
If you would like to edit the role capabilities, you could use a plugin like “Members” to edit them (for example to exclude the capability to edit posts for Shop Managers and POS Managers).
Is is possible display TAX value in the receipt?
Yes, sure, it depends on your WooCommerce settings, they will be displayed on the receipt accordingly.
So, you have to set tax as visible in Cart/Checkout and then set "Tax Excluded" for Cart and Checkout.
Is it possible to use the camera on the iPad to scan the barcode to search products?
No, unfortunately at the moment this is not possible, if you are using the POS system on the same iPad you want to use as a scanner. Yet, if you use POS on a computer, you can use an APP on your mobile device and make it work as a scanner connected to your computer.
How are payments processed and how can I connect a payment gateway to automatically charge users and let them pay with a card?
At the moment, the plugin does not support any automatic gateway connected to the POS. This means that you can enable any payment gateway supported by your WooCommerce, but the payment has to be processed manually. So, when you place an order, you’ll have to select the payment method, process the payment and click on Pay once the payment has gone through.
Regarding the register closure report, can you also list the totals of the different tax rates?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to list the totals of different taxes in the report at the moment.
Does it have a mobile layout?
Yes, the plugin layout is mobile friendly and well-adapted for tablets. It has been tested with 10-11-12-inch devices (like iPads and Android tablets). You can see it in action by opening the Live Demo from your device.
Unfortunately, at the moment, it doesn't have a specific layout for smartphones.
Is it possible to mail receipts to customers after fulfilling orders? I get the option to print, but I don't see any options for mailing instead. Is it possible?
Yes, after completing the order, customers will receive WooCommerce emails. You only need to enable these automatic emails from WooCommerce settings.
Does this plugin alter WooCommerce's internal inventory system and sync with it?
The plugin works with the normal WooCommerce Stock, but it also offers the Multi-Stock feature, so you can either sync all your stores’ inventory or manage them separately with a separate stock value for each of your points of sale. You can read more about the stock management here.
Does your plugin have a French POS agreement / compliance? It is compulsory for French resellers.
The plugin turns your e-commerce into a register, therefore, all the rules that apply to e-commerce sites will be valid also for the POS system.
Could this be used for phone orders where a customer shares credit card details over the phone? Or would we need a separate payment terminal?
It is necessary to have a separate payment terminal. The payment amount should be added manually inside the payment window and, once the payment has been processed, you can click on ‘Pay’.
Does it have an offline mode?
No, the plugin does not include an offline feature, but you can however set it up on a local server.
We are working with different sales agents and would like them to only be able to see their own customers. Is it possible?
This is not possible unfortunately. Store managers and Cashiers will be able to see all customers.
Does it have an option to simply input a price and charge the customer? This is handy for phone orders or people ordering new products that have not been added to our site yet.
Yes, the plugin will allow you to easily add a product "on the fly". For example, if you need to make an "order" of 300$ you can add a new product and set its price to 300$.
Furthermore, when you create a product through the POS, you can also choose to add this product to the store inventory, and easily add newly-arrived products that can be fully edited later on.
