Connect your Stripe account

Configuring the plugin is easy and requires only one first step: simply enter the required information and link your Stripe account. This will allow you to configure Stripe as a payment method on the checkout page (your customers will be able to pay by credit card) and automate the payment of commissions for each order placed in your store.

Save credit cards at checkout for a better shopping experience

Enable the option to save the credit cards your customers use and display them among the available payment options during checkout. This speeds up the checkout process and improves the user experience.

Configure the users and commissions to be generated

Add all the partners and/or collaborators you want to the table and set up the commissions to be generated. You can set fixed commissions (e.g.: $5 for each order) or a percentage (e.g.: 10% of each order) and decide whether to generate them on all products or only on specific products. Are cross-border transfers supported?

Yes, they are supported, but Stripe applies some limitations to standard accounts. You can learn more about it on this page.

Do I need a business Stripe account?

Yes, as a Stripe account is a business account only.

The plugin mainly supports the "Separate charges and transfers" method for transactions, and only under some very specific conditions we can enable "Direct charges" or "Destination charges". We explain all payment flows here.

Is this a standalone plugin, or do I need YITH Multi Vendor to use this plugin?

Yes, this is a standalone plugin, so you can use it to accept Credit Card payments on your WooCommerce-based shop and split the earnings with your partners. This can be done either for all products, or on a product basis. The YITH Multi Vendor plugin is only required if you need advanced marketplace features.

What is the maximum delay time on Stripe payouts?

The maximum delay time is 90 days.

Does the plugin support saving Credit Cards?

Yes, it does.

What happens to the commission if a customer wants a refund?

The commission payment process is irreversible, for that reason, the plugin offers a dedicated feature that lets you send the commission only after a certain amount of days from the original sale. This will let the admin pay out commissions only after the legal time for the customer to issue a refund has passed.

Does my seller need a stripe account to send commissions to his Credit Card?

Yes, in order to receive money they need to have a Stripe account and connect it with the store admin Connect Application.

Will transfers be made automatically after the delay period?

Yes, there is a cronjob submitting transfer requests when the delay time has passed.

Does this plugin support/include Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)?

Yes, the plugin is compliant with SCA, which also supports the use of 3D Secure.

Can you add a 0% commission?

No, the commission value has to be higher than 0, because Stripe requires a minimal amount to proceed with the transaction.
